Sessions & Fees
-
At The Lennox Speech Spot, we keep things simple and consistent. Our fees are set at a single hourly rate, whether you’re accessing services privately or through the NDIS. This approach means every client can expect the same high-quality support, with clear and transparent pricing from the very beginning.
Our Fees
All sessions are charged at $193.99 per hour in line with the current NDIS Price Guide.
Session length will be discussed with you based on your needs and goals.
While the exact breakdown may vary depending on your needs, our standard structure typically looks like:Initial Assessment (90 minutes): $290.99
(includes 60 minutes face-to-face and 30 minutes dedicated to analysis, planning, and admin tasks)Therapy Sessions (60 minutes): $193.99
(includes 45 minutes face-to-face therapy and 15 minutes for note-writing, planning, and preparation)Non Face-to-Face / Indirect Work: $193.99 per hour
(e.g. report writing, GP letters, liaison with schools or other practitioners, resource development)If sessions run longer, additional time is charged at the same hourly rate. We’ll always be clear and upfront so you know what to expect.
Private Clients
You don’t need a referral to book with us.
Payment is made at the end of each session.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates (with a GP referral) or a private health insurance rebate (if you have extras cover). See the sections below for more details.
NDIS Participants
We see clients who are self-managed or plan-managed.
At this stage, we are not registered for NDIA-managed clients.
We provide detailed invoices and service agreements to make using your funding as smooth as possible.
If you’re unsure which option applies to you, we’ll happily step you through the process.
-
Some families may be eligible for a Medicare rebate under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (previously called EPC).
Your GP will let you know if you qualify and can write the referral directly to The Lennox Speech Spot.
Medicare currently provides a rebate of $61.80 per session (as of July 2025).
You can claim up to 5 rebated sessions per calendar year.
Our standard session fee still applies ($193.99/hr), so you will have an out-of-pocket gap.
We provide an invoice with all the details you need to make a claim with Medicare.
Tip: If you think you may be eligible, speak to your GP before booking your appointment.
-
Many families choose to use their private health insurance (extras cover) to help with the cost of speech pathology.
The amount you can claim back will depend on your fund and the level of cover you hold.
Sessions are billed at our standard hourly rate, and your fund will let you know the rebate amount.
To make claiming easier, we include the relevant speech pathology item numbers on your invoice.
Because every fund is a little different, we recommend giving your insurer a quick call before you start. That way, you’ll know exactly what’s included and how much you’ll get back.
